Renault Kadjar

The Renault Kadjar, part SUV/part hatchback with the capabilities of a sporty ride, has made it to the finals of the 2017 SA Car of the Year.
The Kadjar, along with nine other cars, has been shortlisted for this prestigious title, which will be awarded on 15 March 2017. Available in two engine options, the 1.2 T and the 1.6 dCi, and two model options, the Expression* and the Dynamique, the Renault Kadjar really does offer the full package. Roomy and comfortable.

Motoring Journalists in September 2016, the finalists were chosen by a panel of 28 car aficionados out of a list of 35 possible contenders.

The name Kadjar is derived from several different French words. According to Renault the Kadjar has a name made up of a number different words that describe exactly what this attractive vehicle represents. They say that the word ‘Kad’ is is derived from the word quad (4-wheeled vehicle) while the word ‘Jar’ is based on the French word for agile. It also includes the use of the word ‘Jaillir’ which simply means to ‘emerge suddenly’.

This is why it comes with built-in eco-scoring and eco-coaching systems that measure your driving style and fuel consumption. By doing this the Kadjar can then “teach” you to drive in a more eco-friendly manner.

It has a massive boot the Kadjar provides ample boot space and comes standard with a generous load bay of 370 litres as well as a full tyre spare.

There are more than a few optional extras available when purchasing a new Renault Kadjar. You can even opt for large 19″ wheel, a panoramic sunroof, leather seats and a self-park system.
