‘Khehla’ made a great difference to the city and its institutions

Peter Croeser, affectionately known as ‘khehla’, was the sub-editor of the Maritzburg Sun and the Public Eye newspapers from 2013–2015. Birds were there first

I was shocked to read that the tree near the bird sanctuary, on which the egrets have been roosting, was cut down leaving them to look for an alternate home. I am quite sure they will roost in an adjacent tree
