St Anne’s pupil excels

Zoë Frank participated in the Four Elements Ocean Challenge

The 6km swim started at the Durban Underwater Club near the Harbour wall and finished just past the Moses Mabhida Stadium.  Despite being an incredibly long and gruelling challenge, Zoë was placed 1st in the Women’s Open Division in a time of 1:10.22 and was placed 3rd overall with the men and woman combined. There were 91 swimmers including some well-known names who participated in the challenge. The conditions were less than suitable with seriously inclement weather that included cold temperatures, gale force winds and huge swells. The purpose of the event is to raise funding for conservation awareness.
