Celebrations for 104th birthday

Mrs Marian Simmons was born on February 16, 1913 in Lancashire, England. She worked as a hairdresser and retired at the age of 60. Following her husband’s death, she became a caregiver to animals which she is passionate about. She came to South Africa 35 years ago and has remained in the country ever since, joining the Emma Barter Victoria Home 15 years ago.
Chairperson of the Emma Barter Victoria Memorial Home Margaret McCullough presented Mrs Simmons with a few gifts and expressed well wishes for the 104 year old. The home would like to Parklane Spar for donating a beautiful birthday cake, Martins Funeral Parlour for donating a basket of flowers, Chris Jensen for providing entertainment and Select Service’s for refreshments.
