No arrest yet in Bellevue murder

Police have, however, established through their investigations that Greyling had hired two casual labourers to help her in the garden. They are following positive leads that they were behind Greyling’s death. Police believe that the retired Cedara Agricultural College financial officer was beaten to death with a garden spade.

The slain woman’s son, Rudi Greyling, said that he and his family are slowly getting their lives on track after the ordeal. He said the Bellevue family home had been cleaned and maintained – “as if my mum was still living there”.

“It is still our home, we shared memories and cannot turn our backs on that. We haven’t lost hope of finding those who did this to her. We are constantly being updated by the police,” said Greyling.

Alexandra Police Station spokesperson Captain Kholeka Mhlongo confirmed that no arrests have been made.

“A case docket of murder is still open, and investigations are still pending, “said Mhlongo.

He urged anyone with information regarding the case to report it to the Alexandra Police Station or nearest police station.
