‘At your service’, express delivery was founded by Pietermaritzburg sisters Jacqui Van Rooyen and Debbie Ferrier with the support of husband Eugene Van Rooyen and family friend Andre Kookermoer .

The delivery business aims to become a one stop shop to get any tedious task done, specialising in delivering essentials for the elderly such as collecting medication, minimal grocery shopping and paying accounts for a nominal fee of R12.

“We are basically saying we want to make life more convenient for people leading busy schedules or just unable to do these minimal things,” said Van Rooyen.

The team told Maritzburg Sun that they identified a gap in the city of delivery companies not making life convenient or helping the community, specifically the elderly.

Seventy-year-old Marie Keulder resident in Napierville, the express delivery’s first customer advocated that was more cost  efficient  and easier to render services from the At Your Service team.

“I don’t need to go the shops for every little thing…now I can cut travel costs and be at home more often,” she said smiling.

“Pietermaritzburg is a close knit community welcome us into your homes by making life quick and easier for you”, said the team appealing to the residents of the city to be a part of the innovative new express service.
