3D Pavement art to amaze Midlands Mall this festive season

An example of the 3D art

At one time or another we have all been amazed by those fascinating 3D paintings seen on sidewalks and then posted on the internet for all to view. Whether it’s the kind of art you like or not, it’s absolutely enthralling and something that lures us to take selfies and social media shots.
The inventor of this captivating art form, Kurt Wenner – called 3D interactive pavement art- started a movement that inspired hundreds of artists to follow suit and create an important international movement.
Midlands Mall will host an amazing flying 3D car inspired by the classic movie Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. This illusion which will be on the floor of the Woolworths court at the Midlands Mall, will allow the shoppers and their families to pose driving the car as it flies through the air.

Created by a team of artists for Dubai Canvas, the world’s largest street art festival, this family fun piece will be reproduced exclusively for the Midlands Mall and be seen for some time.
Enjoy this unique art and stand a chance to win prizes in the “shoot to win” competition that will run concurrently with the installation .
All you need to do is take a selfie/picture using the 3D artwork and post it to either the Maritzburg Sun or Public Eye facebook pages and share it with Liberty Midlands Mall. The three most liked pictures on each of the newspapers facebook book pagers will receive 10 movie tickets….., so get shooting and remember to connect to Liberty Midlands Mall free Wi-Fi.
