Serial killer appears in court

Murder accused Kershwin Goldstone

Goldstone was nabbed by police in the early hours of Wednesday morning, at the Kenwyn Retirement Home on Pietermaritz Street where it is alleged he previously strangled 92-year-old resident Patricia O’Connor.

Others victims include 89-year-old Roland Heathcote and Patricia Tugwell,89, both from the Jacaranda Retirement Lodge.

State prosecutor, Patty David, told the court Goldstone’s fingerprints and DNA had been linked to scene and he had made a full confession.

Legal Aid attorney, Thanusha Govender, confirmed she will be representing Goldstone.

An indictment will be sent to Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for liaising with the attorney before the matter continues for his plea.
