“Service delivery flows like tap water in KZN” Mchunu KwaZulu-Natal ANC chairperson Senzo Mchunu has singled out achievements in health and education as an illustration of the ruling party’s ability to deliver services to the people in the province.

Delivering  an address at the ruling party’s provincial manifesto launch, Mchunu said despite taking over power in 2004, the party had performed well. “Service delivery flows like tap water under the ANC government and there should not be any doubt to the province’s citizens,” said Mchunu.

He outlined a series of achievements including:
# 56 schools that have been built, 6473 classrooms, 294 laboratories and 480 kitchens to prepare meals
for learners.
# bringing an end to mud schools
# 203 clinics that have been built since 1994.
Mchunu pleaded with ruling party supporters to join in a fight against HIV.

“You and I need to intensify
our efforts in fighting against the scourge,” said Mchunu.

Democracy under the ANC, Mchunu added, had ensured that there is political tolerance and the end of
“no go areas” in the province.
